University Sponsored Organizations
These groups are directly sponsored by the University, including an assigned professional staff advisor and budget, such as the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Ambassadors, the Student Government Association (including the Senate and Student Activities Council), or Orientation Leaders.
Ambassadors
Purpose: To serve as representatives of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø at events both on and off campus. Demonstrate pride for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø through service to the University.
Driftwood Campus Newspaper
Purpose: To keep the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø informed about events on and around campus and to cover crime, politics, sports, reviews of movies, bars, restaurants around town, exciting places to travel to and much more.
Leadership Cabinet
Purpose: To provide campus with leadership building opportunities.
Orientation Leaders (OL)
Purpose: To welcome new students to the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø through the New Student Experience.
Resident Hall Association
Purpose: To build community for students who live on-campus in Pontchartrain Halls.
Student Activities Council (SAC)
Purpose: To serve as the official programming board of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, planning events and activities for the entire 51³Ô¹ÏÍø community.
Student Government Association
Purpose: To represent and advocate for students.
